Anyway, a lot of you have been asking when the comic will start updating again. I can’t really say at this point. Though I’ve been resting most of the time, it seems like my wrist pain has just been getting worse over the past few months. A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with something the doctor called ‘scapholunate dissociation,’ I think. I don’t know too much about it yet, but I’ve been to a couple other doctors, and they all seem to want me to have surgery…which I also don’t know much about yet. I have a surgery consultation in a couple weeks, so I should be able to make another post with more details afterwards. I think it goes without saying that I won’t be doing any drawing for a little while longer. One of the doctors seemed to think I’d be able to draw while recovering from surgery, though. So… I’m a little skeptical, but I’m trying to stay optimistic.
Thanks to everyone who’s sent me nice emails/comments/etc. I really appreciate you all supporting me through this. I definitely want to try to recover & get back to drawing as soon as possible. :)
Take the paintbrush/pen/pencil or whatever you use and draw something with it using your mouth. Im sure that it would be entertaining to the rest of us waiting for an update on the poor doctors status
From what I googled, it looks like something similar to carpal tunnel syndrome. Apparently it can lead to arthritis if it isn’t treated within a reasonable time frame…..that’s baaaad…

Hopefully they will get you all fixed up! I know how frustrating it is to be unable to do something you enjoy doing because your body won’t let you, and I hope it doesn’t last too much longer for you.

So sorry to hear that. I’ve had a few friends who have had surgery lately, and they all are pretty bummed that they can’t do any activities that they used to. But it’s definitely better to get the surgery and not be able to do something for a few weeks/months than go without it and not be able to do it the rest of your life!

I’m sorry to hear your wrist problems haven’t improved. Don’t worry so much about the comic. Your loyal fans will come back when you’re healthy! The important thing is to take the best care of yourself that you can!
